Question by Kevin: can eating a mostly raw food diet help with acne?
for the past two years i have taken an antibiotic and used prescription cream for my acne and it’s worked really well but i don’t want to use it anymore.
so suggestions of things to eat or things to stay away from or maybe some kind of vitamin that might help, i don’t know.
I’m just tired of being dependant on this medicine and i don’t want to continue the use of the antibiotic because of the good bacteria it kills.
as someone who has been fighting a small battle with acne for the past 4 or 5 years (I’m almost 21) i really do think that food plays a part. greasy food = oily skin = greater chance of break outs

i don’t believe food has anything to do with acne
but if your treatment is working then keep using it
even if its a pain to use everyday
because thats probably the best thing to fight the acne.
bestacnetreatment1.info In terms of major acne-fighting ingredients, vitamins can be divided into two groups: co-enzymes (B vitamins) and antioxidants (A, C & E vitamins). These groups have considerably different functions. Antioxidants Vitamin C is definitely the most important ‘adult acne fighting’ vitamin. When it comes to adult acne, the main functions of vitamin C are: -Antioxidant – vitamin C prevents and/or reduces the damage that toxins to do cells. -Detox agent – vitamin C removes toxins and other pollutants from your body People manufacture their own vitamin C and there is evidence that stress, trauma and disease will increase vitamin C production, helping in the healing process. Vitamin C also acts as a protective agent in the body. For example, seminal fluid (sperm) contains 8 times the C as the blood does. C protects the DNA in sperm against mutation and damage by free radicals. Vitamin E is an antioxidant as well. The main difference between vitamins C and E is that vitamin C is water-soluble and vitamin E fat-soluble. When taken in excess, the fat-soluble vitamins such as vitamin E accumulate in the fatty tissues. The damage caused to the liver (which is one of the root causes of adult acne) by toxins, bacteria and parasites is largely due to free radicals. Vitamin C, E and other antioxidants could play an important role in reversing and preventing adult acne. Co-Enzymes B vitamins are also vital in fighting and preventing acne. Question by adrien15: get rid of acne scars?
what is the best way to get rid of acne scars? i’m a 15 year old girl, and i used to have some acne on my back but its gone now. the only thing is that now i have a lot of little dark spots on my back from acne that i picked at! it’s so annoying and i don’t know what to use to make them go away/be less noticeable. i heard that vitamin e oil helps? what else is there that works to make the spots fade? how do i use the vitamin e oil? how fast does it work? it would be good if it worked really fast cause i’m going to be back at school soon and i want to wear halters and tank tops but i can’t if it looks like i have acne on my back even though i don’t anymore! i’m really self concious about it still (all last year i didn’t wear any tops that showed my back) i just wanna be able to wear whatever shirt i want. so any information on vitamin e oil and other products would be helpful. i don’t really want to spend that much money cause i would rather spend it on back to school clothes and makeup and stuff like that lol
thanks for answering!

Many people suffer for years with Arthritis, TMJ, Fibromyalgia, and Osteoporosis. These chronic afflictions do not get better on their own, and conventional medical therapy does not resolve the problem. But that doesnt mean they must be endured for a lifetime. Nutrition and hypnotherapy techniques are effective for clearing up these symptoms. You can learn what to do for each of these problems by listening to the live webcast On the Path to Health, Your Mind Is Key On Thursday, April 15, 2004 at 8:00 PM Eastern, 5:00PM Pacific, from VoiceAmerica.com. Dr. Gabor Mate’, author of the book When the Body Says No: The Costs of Hidden Stress, will share his knowledge and insight. The program will be replayed 12 hours later.
Arthritis is a consequence of stress or of insufficient protein, or both. The type of stress is different for osteoarthritis than for rheumatoid arthritis, but both respond well to hypnotherapy techniques. On the nutritional side, correcting the excessively alkaline condition of the blood will relieve osteoarthritis. For many people, supplementing with powdered gelatin will support the body in rebuilding the cartilage faster than it breaks down.
TMJ and bruxism are usually pure stress responses and by using Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Time Line Therapy , the behavior of clenching and grinding the teeth can end.
Fibromyalgia sufferers often have very low levels of many vitamins that create many of the symptoms. In fact, a significant number of people are misdiagnosed with fibromyalgia who are only deficient in vitamin D, according to published medical reports. The other part of fibromyalgia is the bodys response to prolonged stress. After the stress has been resolved with NLP or Time Line Therapy, the body will resolve the pain. These techniques can work in as little as three or four hours of treatment time.
Osteoporosis has been with us for more than fifty years, but it is not the calcium deficiency as many people believe. If it were, the calcium supplements that people take would have ended this problem in our country years ago. Estrogen levels cannot be the source of the problem, because all women go through menopause and have their estrogen level decline, but not all develop osteoporosis. Those who experience depression, Alzheimers, and anorexia have a higher risk of osteoporosis. This indicates that poor nutrition is a factor. Stress also likely plays a part in the low levels of magnesium and other trace elements.
All of these chronic health problems will be discussed in more detail and with specific suggestions for relief.
Acne problem is extremely embarrassing hitting your confidence and you would rather not be seen around in the public. Although not really serious, acne problem is a real nuisance. You may treat acne in various ways and the acne treatments may generally differ from one person to another as the causes of acne may not necessarily be the same. Getting rid of acne may sometimes be extremely simple but it can be a real tedious task sometimes as the degree of intensity may differ. Rather than jumping at any acne remedy it would be a safer option to consult a qualified dermatologist who would view your acne with respect to your body and its internal condition and not in isolation.
Be mentally prepared to try a number of treatments for complete acne removal as even a dermatologist would need to experiment with various safe acne treatments till she is able to narrow down the ideal acne remedy for your body. Along with your prescribed medicines and products it is always better to increase the intake of natural products that would work in sync with the medical treatment and help remove acne from the roots.
Vitamin B12 comes bound to the protein found in food. Once food is consumed the hydrochloric acid of the stomach detaches the vitamin B12 from the protein. The detached vitamin B12 in combination with intrinsic factor diffuses into the blood stream of the individual thereafter.
Research has validated the benefits of vitamins and specifically vitamin B12 for acne treatment. Before I elaborate on how vitamin B12 is useful for curing acne, I would like to shed light on the contribution of vitamin B12 to the functioning of our body. Vitamin B12 is extremely important for a good blood circulation and it helps in the maintenance of healthy RBC’s (red blood cells) and nerve cells in the body.. Good blood circulation automatically keeps the skin healthy and acne free as the skin cells keep regenerating and clogging of skin pores does not happen.
Vitamin B12 is also an excellent detoxifier and helps in negating the toxicity of the body. This in turn helps keep the skin healthy and glowing as the acidic content of the blood is regulated and prevents acne. It also has the magical property of detoxifying second-hand cigarette smoke and the cyanide found in certain food items. This property of vitamin B12 would help keep your body and skin healthy and acne free.
Vitamin B12 is excellent for improving the appetite as it helps in the digestion. As you already know, a good digestion is the key to keep acne away, vitamin B12 can help you stay away from acne. You can easily increase your Vitamin B12 intake by consuming natural foods like meat, chicken, egg, yoghurt, milk, raisin bran, cheese, fish, beef etc. Compared to non-vegetarians, vegetarians are at a greater risk of suffering from vitamin B12 deficiency and in such cases the doctor may recommend some supplements. Try to include vitamin B12 in your diet and watch your skin glow and banish acne from your life, forever.

Question by ginger: What facial moisturizers that contain an SPF 15 or above are best suited for combination and acne prone skin?
I would like input from people who have used, liked, and would recommend a particular brand of facial moisturizer that doesn’t clog your pores or cause even more breakouts.
So far I have only tried two moisturizers, and that is the Olay Complete Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15 for Combination/oily skin, and a vitamin E facial moisturizer from the body shop. Both however, seemed to do nothing but make my face more oily. When I apply them, it feels as if they’re clogging my pores.
So for some time, I’ve stopped using any sort of moisturizer at all, since my skin is naturally oily, but sometimes it gets really dry because of acne spot treatments I use. So now I need to find something that works great, without spending money to experiment on various brands of moisturizers I will probably end up discarding after a few uses.
*I have tried salicylic acid for my acne before, however my skin seems to have a reaction to it. But BP works pretty well.

Answer by Dee Clean and clear has an oil free moisturizer with spf 15. There is one with salicylic and one with out.
